Greg & John Russo
When John Russo was fourteen years old, his Aunt Rose Russo told him to "take over the wine business." So John studied wine and marketing books, and hooked up with some industry professionals who mentored John so he could become a respected wine merchant and educator. John works with the best vintners, brokers, and importers to carefully select the best quality wines at value prices. Greg Russo has been working at his father's side for many years and is carrying on the family tradition.

Casabianca Chianti Riserva Colli Senesi 2005
Reg. $31.99 Sale $18.99 or $99 a 6 Pack!
Within the region of Tuscany there are the very famous hills of Chianti for growing some of the most popular Italian wines. "Colli Senesi" means "the hills of Siena" which you can see in this photo where all the Chianti sub-regions are(Colli Senesi in yellow):
I just wanted to show the different sub-regions so no one would be confused on what Colli Senesi means or that the different regions names aren't necessarily terms for different levels of quality. You do get different tastes from the regions because of soils, which way the hill faces, and how much weather can effect it just being a hill or two over. The 2005 Fattoria Casabianca Colli Senesi Riserva is some of the best crops of Sangiovese grown on their property. They barrel age and then bottle age for much longer than their entry level wines before release creating a much more complex, cellar-worthy wine. It has deep cherry, chocolate, herbs, with that little bit of earthiness from the soil with a long, dry finish. Perfect wine with hearty meat and pasta dishes or game. Definately worth trying while on this amazing discounted price!
What a value in Chianti! La Bottega Chianti is classic in style with Peppery, bright cherry fruit, and deep soil minerality while retaining its soft tannins and a smooth finish that lingers on the palate. Serve with pasta, pizza, or Italian sausage.
This dry red comes from the Chianti Classico district shown on the map above in red. The 2010 vintage shows the traditional flavor of Chianti Classico. A blend of mostly sangiovese with a touch of merlot and cabernet sauvignon. It's spicy but, has a fruit forward burst of cherry and raspberry with lots of earth from the terroir. Serve with our Italian sausage and pasta with red sauce. The fennel and and anise will be a great complement to this silky red. It will probably get better with a few more years on it but, definately drinking good now.
The 2011 is a blend of mostly sangiovese with a little merlot, canaiolo, and gamay to smooth it out. Medium-bodied bright fruit with a nice balance of earth and acidity. Serve with pasta with meat sauce or mushroom pizza and a little dark chocolate for dessert. It's one of our top selling chianti bottlings and in my opinion the best for the money.
