Greg & John Russo
When John Russo was fourteen years old, his Aunt Rose Russo told him to "take over the wine business." So John studied wine and marketing books, and hooked up with some industry professionals who mentored John so he could become a respected wine merchant and educator. John works with the best vintners, brokers, and importers to carefully select the best quality wines at value prices. Greg Russo has been working at his father's side for many years and is carrying on the family tradition.

Ciccone Michigan Red Blend
Reg. $16.99 Sale $11.99
A great red from right here in Michigan that compares with a lot of California blends. Ciccone Vineyards Michigan red is a blend of 70% Cabernet Franc and 30% Pinot Noir. Silvio calls this a semi-sweet wine but, John and I find it to be more of a medium to semi-dry red. Nice and fruit forward, smooth tannins, and lots of full-bodied flavors of strawberries and a smooth, slightly peppery finish(most likely from the Cabernet Franc). I think Silvio calls it semi-sweet because most of his wines are a lot dryer. So to him, this is semi-sweet. This wine will be open to sample this Saturday if you'd like to try it before you buy.
